Businessman shot dead

Jharsuguda: A businessman was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Brajarajnagar near here, triggering tension in the area today with local residents indulging in violence, police said. Swarup Das (25), who ran a transport business, was allegedly shot dead by two motorbike-borne miscreants near Mundalia market area last night, Jyotsna Pradhan, officer-in-charge of Orient police station said. After committing the crime, the miscreants abandoned their motorbike and fled the scene . -PTI
