Naushad bags six wkts.

VISAKHAPATNAM: Sk. Naushad claimed six wickets for South Zone but North Zone gained good lead, in the ACA under-22 inter-zone tournament round-robin match at Kakinada on Saturday.

Resuming at160 for four, North made 291 in reply to South’s first innings total of 87. India under-19 player D. Siva Kumar made 40 and K. Bharat Reddy scored 31 on the second day.

South Zone was 122 for five in its second knock at close, with S. Gayaz scoring 64 runs.

The scores: South Zone 87 and 122 for five in 42 overs (S. Gayaz 64, A. Veera Babu three for 27) vs. North Zone 291 in 89.1 overs (V. Abraham 64, B. Sumanth 58, D. Siva Kumar 40, K. Bharat Reddy 31, Sk. Naushad six for 61). — Special Correspondent
