Thiruvananthapuram: The government has declared 8.33 per cent as the minimum bonus to be paid by establishments in which the government has a major stake, including PSUs. According to the guidelines issued here on Saturday, those who decide to give higher bonus should ensure that their accounts are audited. Establishments in the red should not give more than 8.33 per cent as bonus. Only those drawing a salary of up to Rs.10,000 per month will be eligible for bonus. Those drawing a higher salary will get only festival allowance. — Special Correspondent
