Jind: Mahavir Mittal, district president of Rahul Gandhi brigade, was murdered at Narwana town in the district, police said on Sunday. Mittal was at his residence when an unidentified youth came and shot him late on Saturday night, police said. Mittal was seriously injured in the attack and rushed to the hospital at Narawan where he was declared dead. The assailant fled after the committing crime. The cause of crime could not be ascertained. Police has registered a case and an investigation is underway.
