BERHAMPUR: The leaders of the BJD and the BJP are trying hard to have an alliance with no cracks for the coming urban body election in the city. But the grass root level workers of both parties are opposed to electoral alliance as it would hamper their future political dreams. The State Cabinet Minister, Surya Narayan Patro camped in the city since Saturday to press upon the need of electoral alliance in the minds of city units of both parties. Leaders of both parties sat down for a joint meeting at the house of Mr. Patro on Sunday morning to discuss the intricacies of seat sharing for the coming municipal elections. A similar meeting was also held in his house on Saturday night where leaders of both parties discussed the mathematics behind seat sharing for the municipal election in the city. According to sources leaders of both parties have agreed upon the number of seats their party would contest in the Berhampur municipality.
