KALPETTA: The Thalapuzha police arrested four persons on Sunday in connection with 20 cases of theft in Kozhikode, Kannur and Wayanad. C.M. Babu, Sub–Inspector of Police, Thalapuzha, said Manikkathodiyil Moidu, 53, from Siddhapuram in Karnataka; Balakrishnan, 33,of Lakshamveedu colony at Koorachundu in Kozhikode district; Aikarakkunnath Sanal Thomas, 29, of Kaithakkal in Wayanad; and Jitheesh, 23, of Kakkoor Nivas at Kalpetta; were nabbed from Thalapuzha town early on Sunday. A jeep and tools used for theft were seized from them. The police said they were also accused in cases of stealing pepper from hill produce shops at Periya, Vellamunda and Thalapuzha in Wayanad.
