SFI seeks Vigilance probe
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Students Federation of India (SFI) has demanded a Vigilance inquiry into the way MBBS students of the Kolancherry and Pushpagiri medical colleges emerged successful after failing to make it in the final year examinations.
In a statement here on Sunday, SFI State president P. Biju and secretary A.N. Shamseer alleged that the Mahatma Gandhi University authorities had indulged in serious irregularities to ensure that the failed students passed in the examination. Unless the government intervened, such irregularities would recur creating a serious situation in the State, they said. — Special Correspondent
