Staff Reporter

Srikakulam: Revenue Minister Dharmana Parasada Rao has directed the irrigation officials to formulate action plans and make foolproof technical designs for construction of flood banks to prevent recurrence of breaches in the context of heavy rain during this monsoon. At a meeting here on Sunday, Mr. Rao asked officials to ensure that the problem of breaches was tackled on a permanent basis. He asked them to go ahead with the construction of apron at Kuntibhadra village in Kothuru mandal where a breach resulted in inundation of hundreds of acres.
