Assam Rifles in main draw

NEW DELHI: Assam Rifles secured a place in the main draw of the 121st Osian’s-Durand Cup with a 2-0 victory over MEG (Bangalore) here on Sunday.

In a do-or-die situation, the Assam Rifles players showed greater discipline and aggression to slot in both the goals in the second half through Abel Sema, who scored in the 52nd minute and two minutes from the end.
