KOLKATA: Defending champion Mohun Bagan’s title aspiration suffered a blow as Chirag United SC held it to 1-1 draw in a premier division match of the Calcutta Football League here on Sunday. Chirag surged into the lead in the fifth minute when Malswama Hmar scored an opportunistic goal. Brazilian striker Jose Barreto equalised for Bagan in the 35th minute. Though enjoying a better goal difference, Bagan is tied with Mohammedan Sporting with 20 points from nine matches atop the league table. — Principal Correspondent
