KOCHI: The tendency among some bus owners to introduce mini-buses in the place of bigger ones would weaken the public-transport system, the Regional Transport Authority has said. In a press release issued here, the Authority said that only 18,200 people can travel at a time in mini-buses in Kochi city, whereas 32,200 people can comfortably travel if they are replaced with bigger buses. —Staff Reporter
