PUDUCHERRY: The Kombakkam Residents Welfare Association has requested the Chief Minister to prevent the setting up of new arrack and toddy shops in a residential area in Kombakkam. In a letter to Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, the association said steps were being taken to start a new outlet at Pillaiyar Koil Street in Kombakkam. This could cause a lot of inconvenience to the residents and also result in law and order problems, the association pointed out.
