School forms nature club

PUDUCHERRY: The Alpha Matriculation Higher Secondary School has formed a nature club to spread awareness of the need to protect environment. The club named — Dhana Boopathy — was formed with the assistance of World Wide Fund for Nature, India.

Chairman of Alpha Education Trust Bashingam said more than 300 students of the school had enrolled as members in the club. The club would conduct several programmes in the school and outside to create awareness of the need to protect the environment from degradation.

On the inaugural function, Chairman of Tamil Nadu State unit of WWF Mangalaraj Johnson spoke on “Conservation of Nature”.
