Death of pregnant woman triggers stir

BERHAMPUR: An angry mob kept the Sorada-Badagada road blocked at Badagada in Ganjam district for several hours till evening on Monday following death of a pregnant woman during delivery at the local health centre. The villagers alleged that the woman had died due to callousness of the doctor attending her and demanded his arrest. They also demanded compensation for the family members of the deceased. The Bhanjanagar sub-collector rushed to the spot to pacify the mob.
