Two missing as boat capsizes in reservoir

BERHAMPUR: Two persons went missing when a country boat capsized in the Dhanei reservoir near Polasara in Ganjam district on Monday. There were seven persons in the ill-fated boat. They were trying to save time by taking the dangerous travel by the country boat across the reservoir.

They were on their way from Luniapada village to Bhaliamala. The boat lost balance and capsized.

All the seven travellers in the boat including the boatman fell into the deep waters of the reservoir.

Luckily another country boat carrying passengers was travelling by. Its passengers managed to rescue five persons from the capsized boat.
