LIC staff strike

MYSORE: The Life Insurance Corporation of India Employees’ Union, Mysore division, will strike work on August 20 in response to the call issued by the All India LIC Employees Federation. This is in protest against the rise in prices of essential commodities and attempts to “weaken and privatise the LIC.” — Special Correspondent
