Velu awards Rs. 2 lakh to staff

TIRUCHI: Minister of State for Railways R. Velu inspected the Diesel Shed at Golden Rock here on Monday.

The Minister saw the modern simulator being used for training the Loco Pilots and Asst. Loco Pilots at the Diesel Shed Training Centre. He also visited the area where the maintenance of both broad gauge and metre gauge diesel locomotives were being undertaken. Impressed with the maintenance, working and cleanliness of the Diesel Shed, the Minister announced an award of Rs. 2 lakh to the employees of the Diesel Shed.

Earlier, Mr. Velu inspected the ongoing railway electrification work at Golden Rock railway station and expressed his satisfaction regarding the progress of the electrification work.
