‘Milk price hike inevitable’
Staff Correspondent
HASSAN: The former Minister and KMF president H.D. Revanna has justified the proposal to increase milk prices by Rs. 2 a litre and said it was inevitable as prices of the fodder had gone up.
He said he had postponed the increase in prices for some days on instructions from the State Government but the Government would be responsible for the losses suffered by milk producers and district milk unions and not the KMF.
Mr. Revanna said following increase in diesel prices, there was an increase in the cost of milk procurement, processing, packing and distribution.
