Annual Plan for Andaman and Nicobar islands reviewed

CHENNAI: Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Bhopinder Singh on Monday reviewed the Annual Plan for 2008-2009 and the Tsunami Rehabilitation Plan of the Islands.

He directed government departments to submit quarterly reports on the utilisation of funds and assets created for the public.

Details of Plan proposals and achievements were presented. Planning Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar earlier informed the government that the Planning Commission had provided Rs.1,087.85 crore to the Union Territory for 2008-2009.

This included Rs.667.85 crore as regular Plan.
