Higher Secondary examination schedule

CHENNAI: The Higher Secondary examination for candidates appearing in the private category will be held from September 9 to October 7, 2008, a release from the Directorate of Government Examinations said here on Monday.

The timetable for the examination is as follows:

24.09.2008, Wednesday, forenoon session: Languages paper I; 25.09.2008, Thursday, forenoon session: Languages paper II; 26.09.2008, Friday, forenoon: English paper I; 27.09.2008, Saturday, forenoon: English paper II; 29.09.2008, Monday, forenoon: Physics/Commerce; Afternoon session: Psychology/ Shorthand (Tamil and English); 30.09.2008, Tuesday, forenoon: Chemistry/ Economics; Afternoon: Theory of vocational subjects; 03.10.2008, Friday, forenoon: Mathematics/Accountancy/ Zoology; Afternoon: Foundation science/ Geography; 04.10.2008, Saturday, forenoon: Biology/ History/ Botany; 06.10.2008, Monday, forenoon: Bio-chemistry/Computer Science/ Political Science; Afternoon: Micro Biology/ Advanced language; 07.10.2008, Tuesday, forenoon: Business Maths/Indian Culture/Nursing (general stream)/ Nutrition and Dietetics; Afternoon: Communicative English/Home Science/ Statistics/ Typewriting (Tamil and English).
