Residents offer helping hand
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Residents of Makaan compound are so grateful to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for taking up work on replacing corroded water pipes in their area they are ready to do anything for the speedy completion of work.
Following the theft of four lengths of the expensive ductile iron pipes on Sunday night, which the BWSSB had stocked in the area, the residents have promised to keep watch on the pipes and other material stocked therefor there for the work.
Worried whether such hurdles would affect work, Anwar Pasha and Nazeer Ahmed promised to keep watch over the material. Mr. Pasha, who is Manager of the Taha Education Trust in the area, said the pipes could be stored on the premises of the trust.
