THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A delegation from the embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela visited the Technopark campus on Tuesday to explore the experience of an ecosystem of companies for the development of free software. The delegation headed by Layla Macc Adan, Minister of State for Popular Power for Telecommunications and Informatics of Venezuela, was received by Technopark CEO R.K. Nair, senior business development manager M. Vasudevan and director of IIITM-K K.R. Srivathsan, among others. “The delegation expressed interest in the various activities undertaken by the officials of Technopark and are looking forward to a long term association between the Venezuelan government, Government of Kerala and Technopark,” a press release issued here quoted Mr. Nair as saying. The delegation was shown a presentation on the inception of the Technopark, its activities and future plans. The delegation, which will be in the State till August 20, is scheduled to meet the Chief Minister, the pressnote added.
