Gangan Prathap given temporary charge

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Gangan Prathap, Vice-Chancellor of Cochin University of Science and Technology, assumed temporary charge on Tuesday as the Vice-Chancellor of University of Kerala.

Dr. Prathap will hold charge till the Chancellor appoints the new Vice-Chancellor for the mother university of the State. The three-member committee constituted to recommend names for the post of Vice-Chancellor is understood to have submitted a panel of five names to the Chancellor on Monday. One of the main challenges for the new Vice-Chancellor would be to prepare the varsity for the re-accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
