KSEB gesture towards closed units

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has decided to forego ‘demand charges and specified charges’ on power supply made to defunct factories and plantations that would resume functioning before December 31, this year.

In a release on Tuesday, the KSEB said the gesture was intended to help to revive the sick industrial units and plantations in view of the large number of workers involved.

The board also sanctioned pension to the mother of Jaison Sabastian who is presumed to have been killed in an accident at Panniar a few months back, the release added. — Special Correspondent
