BPC to sell carbon credits to Mitsubishi

BANGALORE: Bhoruka Power Corporation (BPC) has entered into an emission reduction purchase agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation of Japan, for sale of carbon credits. Bhoruka Power reported approvals for selling UNFCC certified CERs from four of the hydro power projects built by it in Karnataka. Around every 1100 kWh of renewable energy represents one CER. Current prices range from 14 euro to 17 euro per CER, on a non-firm basis. — Special Correspondent
