Top stars in the fray
Coimbatore: The top stars of the Indian golf will assemble at the Coimbatore Golf Club for the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Players’ Championship from August 20 to 23.
The line-up includes the likes of Ashok Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Digvijay Singh, Rahul Ganapathy, Harendra Gupta, Shamim Khan, Vijay Kumar and local boy and Doha Asian Games silver medallist Joseph Chakola.
The championship, which forms the second half of the 2007-08 season of the PGTI, carries a total prize of Rs. 30 lakh and will be jointly supported by the Coimbatore Golf Club, TaylorMade and Sport 18.
The Pro-Am event is scheduled to be held on Aug. 24. — Sports Reporter
