“Adopt educational techniques followed by U.S. varsities”

VILLUPURAM: Educational institutions should equip themselves to attain international standards to compete with foreign universities. This was the message conveyed by speakers at a workshop on ‘Preparing teachers for autonomy’ organised by Theivanai Ammal College here recently.

Francis Soundararaj, former Principal of Madras Christian College, Chennai, said in the context of globalisation, the Indian educational institutions had a long way to go and as of now none of the universities was in the list of 150 top institutions.

Rev. Francis Sundararaj suggested adoption of educational techniques followed by the institutions in the United States and Hong Kong.
