Sunfeast Cup from August 26

BANGALORE: The third Sunfeast Inter-School Football Cup, organised by SPT Sports will get underway at the St. John’s Medical College ground and the Sree Kanteerava stadium from August 26. The final is slated for August 30.

The five-day event will feature nearly 50 teams and will be played in knockout format in three age divisions: under-12, under-14 and under-16.

The organisers, SPT Sports has spread the event to Hyderabad and Mysore — with 24 teams participating at both centres.

St. Joseph’s Boys HS is the winner of the under-16 category with Presidency School (R.T. Nagar) finishing second best.

Baldwin Boys and Delhi Public School (South) won the under-14 and under-12 categories last year, while Presidency and New Cambridge were the runners-up in the two age groups in the last edition. — Special Correspondent
