Jaipur: Three people, including two minors, were injured on Tuesday when three live detonators went off in a town in Rajasthan, a senior police official said. Some 18 detonators were in a sand heap outside the victims’s house at Newai in Tonk district, SP (Tonk) Giriraj Meena told over telephone. The sand, dumped outside the house by a contractor for road construction, was dug from a mining area and the detonators might have been left in it by some mine holders mistakenly, he added. The injured have been referred to SMS hospital here. The 15 other live detonators were searched and recovered the SP said, adding a case has been registered and a probe ordered. The SP denied any serial bomb blast like incident.
