Sirsa: The Sirsa police nabbed a drug peddler late on Monday evening following a recovery of 2.5 kg of opium from his possession, which he was carrying to Punjab. The accused identified as Natha Singh a resident of Ellenabad was booked under NDPS Act, police said on Tuesday. On a tip off that a person along with the contraband would pass through Kalanwali village, the police laid a trap and nabbed the culprit. On interrogation the accused revealed that he was on his way to Punjab to dispose off the contraband.
