Quiz, Just A Minute contests held School notes

The annual quiz and JAM-Just A Minute competitions were held at MES Udyogamandal School.

The quizzers, under the banner of the four houses – Apollo, Pioneer, Sputnik and Viking competed to gain the top honour. An avid quizzer S Rajan, Joint GM of FACT was the quizmaster. The Apollo team comprising Anand Krishnan R, James Prateesh an d Jeril Joy bagged the first prize and the Pioneer team was the runner-up. The audience had no respite from laughing at the JAM event.

Students felicitated

A function was held at the Sri Vidyadhi Raja Vidya Bhavan Higher Secondary School, Kottayam to felicitate outgoing students of standard X and XII, who had performed well in the public examinations. Mementos and trophies were given to 16 students by P. B. R. Pillai, former MLA, said A. K. Sarathchandra Bose, principal. PTA president Aji R. Nair presided over the function.

I-Day celebrated

The Greets Public School, Kochi celebrated Independence Day with flag-hoisting and variety entertainments.

K V Thomas, MLA was the chief guest.

Thomas Vadakkekut, vice-president and chief functionary was among those who spoke, said Jaya Sabin, principal (administration).
