House burgled

Burglars broke into a house in Anna Nagar here and decamped with 40 sovereigns of jewellery and Rs.3.25 lakh in cash. Police said Augustine (60) who went to Kolathur and returned on Monday found jewellery and cash in the almirah missing. While the front and rear door locks were found intact, the almirah was forced open.
