PANAJI: The Verna police booked 70 activists on charge of trespassing and damaging property after a mob stormed the premises of a proposed special economic zone (SEZ) of the Rahejas at Verna, in protest against alleged resumption of work on the premises on Tuesday. Later in the day, in reply to the concern voiced by Leader of the Opposition Manohar Parrikar on the floor of the Assembly, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said that according to the information he had received, the company was carrying out internal repair at its building on the premises. There was no question of resuming work on the SEZ, he said.
