BANGALORE: Activists of the Samata Sainik Dal staged a demonstration here on Tuesday in protest against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa’s statement refusing to waive loans taken by Dalits under various schemes from the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Development Corporation. Addressing the activists, State unit president of the SSD M. Venkataswamy said that Dalits were disappointed by the Chief Minister’s statement and appealed him to reconsider his decision on the issue.
