Education and technology in schools

Bangalore: Quest Alliance, in partnership with America India Foundation, Azim Premji Foundation, Education Development Centre and Intel Education, inaugurated a two-day symposium on education and technology in schools in Bangalore. It brought together education and education-technology practitioners, scholars and experts and students for an exchange of ideas.

The keynote address by A.K. Jalaluddin of Neev Foundation focused on Information and Communication Technologies in School and Emerging Perspectives. This was followed by a panel discussion on ‘State of Educational Technology in India Today’, facilitated by Manas Chakrabarti; Learning By Design about ICTs (Information and Communication Technology), education and development. The presentations examined whether there is evidence that ICT use in curriculum contributes to students’ development of 21st century skills.
