Shimla: Hindi will become the official language of Himachal Pradesh and all the administrative secretaries have been directed to submit their cabinet agenda and other documents in the Devnagri script. In an official release, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal on Wednesday said the State government is committed to use Hindi language in all its official functioning so that maximum number of people can understand it. He said the move is in the best interests of the State and its people and also for popularising the language amongst the masses. MR. Dhumal also advised the heads of the department to adopt simple and common usages in Hindi for the convenience of the people.
