Officials to place information on court stay at meeting today GO 610 to be implemented in all the lower courts HYDERABAD: Members of the Assembly House committee to monitor implementation of GO 610 have expressed serious exception at the manner in which the government had failed to get the stay orders issued by courts on the transfer of non-local employees to their respective zones vacated. Several panel members were irked to learn that a number of Government employees who were declared non-locals had managed to obtain stay orders to stall moves to repatriate them to their native districts. Delay questionedRaising the issue at the meeting held almost after a gap of six months under the chairmanship of N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, TRS member T. Harish Rao questioned the delay in repatriating non-local employees. He is said to have objected to the decision of the Government to declare the post of Assistant Director in the Municipal Administration and Town Planning Department as state-wide post instead of treating it as local. He confronted officials as to why two separate orders were issued about the particular recruitment. Responding to this, the GAD Secretary Vijay Kumar is said to have asked the member to read the relevant GO, which was objected to by Mr. Harish Rao. Janata Party member Komireddi Ramulu took objection and demanded that the official be transferred out of the GAD. Meeting todaySpeaking to reporters after the meeting, Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy said officials would place all relevant information on the court stay at the meeting on Thursday in the presence of the Chief Secretary. The Law Secretary had informed the panel that GO 610 would be implemented in all the lower courts except the High Court. CPI (M) member Julakanti Ranga Reddy said 16,159 employees had been identified as non-locals and orders transferring 10,682 were issued. While 8,000 were repatriated to their native districts, the remaining 2,882 had obtained stay. Mr. Harish Rao pointed out that out of 721 employees in irrigation department declared non-locals, 593 had gone back and another 122 obtained court stays.
