Periyar Award for Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: DMK general secretary K. Anbazhagan announced on Wednesday that the Periyar Award, instituted by the party, would be given to its president and Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

The award would be presented at a function to be organised by the party in Tiruchi on September 21. The Anna Award would go to party treasurer and Electricity Minister Arcot N. Veeraswami, the Kalaignar Award to party deputy general secretary and Local Administration Minister M.K. Stalin and the Pavender Bharatidasan award to party’s principal secretary and PWD Minister Durai Murugan.
