Domestic help ends life

MAHABUBNAGAR: A 15-year-old maid servant, Savithri, working in the house of former MLA of Amarchinta K. Dayakar Reddy and former ZP Chairperson K. Seetha Dayakar Reddy at Parkapoor village of Chinna Chintakunta mandal, committed suicide on Thursday.

According to the complaint filed by her mother Rukkamma, at Chinna Chintakunta police station, Savithri telephoned to her at around 10.30 a.m. that she had consumed pesticide due to unbearable stomach pain. The mother, who resides in Dhanwada mandal headquarters, immediately rushed to Parkapoor at 12-30 p.m. and shifted her daughter to Chinna Chintakunta primary heath centre.

On the advice of PHC doctors, she took her to Atmakoor civil hospital where she died while undergoing treatment. Chinna Chintakunta SI Anandam filed a case of suicide.
