While the first two had actually committed the crime, the third person from Kakatiyanagar locality of NTPC was accused of harbouring them. The police seized Rs. 35,000 from the accused and recovered Rs. 7.5 lakh from a hiding place at their instance. Adilabad Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar produced the three accused at a press conference at Bellampalli on Thursday. The SP also produced five members of an inter-State dacoit gang and seized from their possession Rs. 2 lakh, three country-made pistols, an air pistol and a toy pistol. The gang led by Karnakanti Veerabrahmachary was arrested by Ramakrishnapur Sub Inspector L. Jeevan Reddy early in the morning. The police party led by the SI was on a patrol at BGM centre when they accosted the accused while they were moving under suspicious circumstances.
