Traffic diversion

NEW DELHI: The Delhi traffic police have advised commuters to avoid certain roads on Friday in view of a procession being taken out on the occasion Sri Krishna Janamashtami.

The procession, being taken out by Hindu Parav Samaroh Samiti Sadar Bazar, will start at Sanatam Dharam Mandir on Library Road around noon and terminate at Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir, passing through Pul Bungash, Bahadurgarh Road, Ruie Mandi, Sadar Timber Market, Qutab Road, Sadar Bazar,, Chowk Bara Tooti, Pahari Dheeraj, Rani Jhansi Road, East Park Road and Idgah Road.

Procession

Traffic on these roads could be stopped and diverted to facilitate the movement of the procession. The traffic police have advised commuters to resort to car-pooling and make use of metro services to avoid being caught in traffic jams.
