D.N. Reddy takes charge as V-C of new JNTU

HYDERABAD: D.N. Reddy assumed charge as the first Vice-Chancellor of the newly carved out Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, from the existing JNTU, at the Kukatpally campus on Thursday.

Seeking cooperation from the staff and students, Prof. Reddy promised to keep up the brand name of the university that had gained fame world over given the spread of Indian software professionals across the globe.

Since he carries experience as the principal of the Osmania University College of Engineering, he would ensure that the best of both the syllabi would be offered to the students.

With regard to various problems being faced by students and the staff in affiliated colleges, he said all issues would be looked into once he settled down.

He, however, said that extending quality education would be his top priority.
