Alert messages

Wherever you go, the message follows you. Public broadcasting has never been as savvy and effective as the recent practice of city police to inform public on the virtues of staying ‘alert’ to prevent blasts. The messages are compelling public to be ‘doubly’ aware and wary of their surroundings.

The alert messages are blaring out of loudspeakers in malls, commercial complexes, movie theatres, densely populated market places, junctions, bars and restaurants, round-the-clock. Even ring tones of police personnel now have a voice warning public to be always on the lookout for suspicious activity.

The authorities have even made it mandatory for commercial establishments to publicly air the alerts, if they want to renew their operating licences. Surely, cops seem to have hit upon a winning formula to keep public vigilant, while they socialise and mingle at public spaces.
