NGRI scientist bags IGU gold medal

HYDERABAD: A scientist of the NGRI Abhay Ram Bansal, has been selected for the prestigious Krishnan Gold Medal for 2008 by the Indian Geophysical Union, in recognition of his ‘significant’ contribution in the field of earth sciences and related region.

The medal will be presented at the inaugural function of the Union’s 45th annual convention on November 5 at Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (UP), a press release stated. -Special Correspondent
