Four arrested in robbery case

CHENNAI: The city police on Thursday resolved the robbery case in which a gang intercepted a milk agent and relieved him of Rs. 1 lakh in the MKB Nagar police station limits here on August 19.
Four persons, including the driver of the complainant, were arrested and the money was recovered.
According to police sources, Jayendran (40) was returning home in a van when a motorcycle-borne gang intercepted the vehicle and robbed him of the money.
Special team formed
A special team formed to investigate the case interrogated the van driver Satish Kumar.
The driver confessed that he had conspired to rob Jayendran along with three others.
As per the plan, his friends Jayagopi, Raghu and Nagaraj came to the pre-determined spot and committed the offence.
The driver made no attempt to prevent the robbery.
The team arrested Satish Kumar, Jayagopi and Raghu. Nagaraj’s wife Rani who had part of the robbed money in her possession was also arrested.
