This Day That Age
The United Nations General Assembly on August 21 gave unanimous approval to an Arab resolution aimed at restoring stability to the Middle East and securing the withdrawal of American and British troops from Lebanon and Jordan. The rare unanimity in the assembly caused a great burst of applause and relief after seven days of tense and bitter debate.
