Mixed luck for Baldwin Boys High School

BANGALORE: Host Baldwin Boys High School met with mixed fortunes in the final of the Baldwin Shield inter-School football tournament, which concluded here on Friday.

Baldwin BHS won the under-14 title beating Bishop Cotton BHS 3-0. Malem struck twice, while Ayush netted the third goal.

In the under-17 final, St. Joseph’s High School beat Baldwin BHS 2-0 with goals from Shane and Joshua.

Bishop Cotton Boys School and Florence High School registered contrasting victories in the Boost under-16 inter-school cricket tournament here on Friday.

Bishop Cotton defeated Mother Mary’s English School by 103 runs, while Florence HS beat Cathedral HS by 14 runs.

Jindal Steel Plant (Bellary) defeated South Western Railway in a hard-fought five setter at 25-16, 25-18, 16-25, 26-28, 15-10 in the State ‘A’ division volleyball championship at the Sree Kanteerva Stadium courts here on Friday.

In other matches, SAI rallied to beat Postal 24-26, 25-21, 25-21, 25-23 and ITI humbled Sports Hostel 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.
