Call to set up independent panel

Special Correspondent

Thiruvananthapuram: Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) all-India secretary Baijnath Rai has sought the dissolution of the minimum wages committee set up by the State government for the pharmaceutical marketing sector.

He was inaugurating a Raj Bhavan march and dharna organised by the Bharatheeya Medical and Sales Representatives Association (BMSRA) here on Friday.

He called upon the government to constitute an independent commission to study the problems of the sector. He questioned the motives behind the exclusion the BMSRA from the committee.
