Water level

MADURAI: The level in the Periyar dam on Friday stood at 128.4 feet (full level 136 feet) with an inflow of 475 cusecs and a discharge of 1,498 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 63.91 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 911 cusecs and a discharge of 841 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 5,339 mcft.

Mettupatti recorded 11 mm of rainfall followed by Andipatti 10, Kallandiri and Sittampatti 6 each, Pulipatti and Melur 3 , Sothuparai and Madurai 2.
