Two alleged cheats arrested

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A young man and his woman accomplice have been arrested by the South-West Delhi police for allegedly cheating people on the pretext of arranging loans for them. The police received a complaint from Baljeet Singh, a resident of Munirka village, alleging that he had been cheated by a man and a woman of over Rs.1 lakh by giving false promises of arranging home loan for him. Acting on the complaint, the police zeroed in on Seema Babbar and Feroz Ali and arrested them after they purportedly confessed to their involvement.

During interrogation, Seema told the interrogators that she separated from her husband in June last year. She initially worked with a bank at Pune, but could not meet the target assigned to her. In connivance with Feroz Ali, she then allegedly started cheating people .
